Sculpture Maintenance

Sunlight, smog, dust, and birds pose the most risk to outdoor sculptures. A regular maintenance program of cleaning and protection can prevent oxidation, corrosion and other long-term environmental damage, helping works to retain both their beauty and their value. Our art handlers surface wash sculptures using archival soaps and de-ionized water, and then seal the surfaces with waxes and sealants. While our crews are trained in most aspects of cleaning and maintenance, we do not offer conservation services and will refer any work that requires conservation and/or restoration to our network of trained fine art conservators.

  • Cleaning, waxing and polishing of bronze, steel, ceramic or glass

  • Services for indoor and outdoor sculptures

  • Graffiti removal

  • Referral network of fine art conservators
